A little about me

My passion is all things related to the science of wellbeing otherwise known as positive psychology. For the better part of the last decade I have thrown myself into learning, practicing and growing in this field with the purpose of enriching my coaching and teaching practices. Of course so much of it has spilled out into all aspects of my life. If you’ve heard of a sports coach, I play the same role except my focus is in enhancing your wellbeing.

I earned my MBA at Dalhousie University and spent the first decade of my career honing my marketing and communications skills. During my career, I’ve held senior positions at a large multinational, a privately owned Canadian business, a national not-for-profit, and a female-led entrepreneurial organization. In 2020, I completed my Master’s of Science in Applied Positive Psychology (or the scientific study of Wellbeing) at Buckinghamshire University in the U.K. I used my knowledge to enhance my private practice as a positive psychology coach, teaching my clients about evidence-based models that help people lead flourishing, resilient, fulfilling lives. For this degree I flew to London for the weekend, once a month, for two years to get absolutely everything I could out of the experience. I now consider myself a positive psychology evangelist!

I’m a single mom of two amazing teenagers who keep me honest and grounded. We have a couple of pets who provide endless entertainment. I enjoy being active and play soccer in a women’s league. Cooking is my creative outlet and I love to always be learning and growing. I love to embrace a challenge and I’m passionate about advocating for my community.
